About the artwork: The massive two-storey high mural features a cast of characters representing a barkada who met at Cloverleaf to enjoy leisure activities. They come from all walks of life, possibly residing within the area or visiting from far away. As Cloverleaf is near the Balintawak transport hub and market, universities, residences, and the mall, the Cloverleaf community brings together diverse people of all ages and backgrounds, reflecting the Philippines’ complex, multi-layered subcultures that can co-exist in harmony.
About the artist: Anjo Bolarda is a celebrated, well-experienced muralist who has been commissioned for several local and international venues. His colorful scenes deal with stories of people living in contemporary society. His body of work also includes paintings, illustrations, installations and performances for galleries and artist-run spaces, as well as sneaker customization and design collaborations with streetwear brands.
