Mobile Record Shop by Elmer Borlongan - Framed Puzzle Edition
THE HARAYA FRAMED EDITION
This artwork began as a Haraya puzzle. By special request, our team carefully assembles each puzzle before framing it for display. Piece by piece, between projects, meetings, and the rhythms of daily work, every completed artwork carries not only the image itself but also the time and care invested in bringing it together.
Created for those who love the artwork but may not have the time to complete the puzzle themselves, these framed editions make it possible to enjoy the piece immediately in homes, offices, and meaningful spaces.
Because each piece is assembled by our small team, only a limited number can be prepared at any given time. Please allow several days to a few weeks for assembly and framing.

THE ARTWORK
This framed edition features Mobile Record Shop by Elmer Borlongan — a vivid snapshot of everyday Filipino life transformed through storytelling and memory. The artwork captures a man selling bootleg cassette tapes of '60s and ’70s music from his Volkswagen Beetle parked behind the Folk Arts Theater. A cassette deck perched on the roof fills the air with familiar songs, drawing strangers into a shared moment of nostalgia. Through his signature expressive style, Borlongan turns an ordinary street scene into a reflection on resilience, culture, and the poetry of urban life.
THE ARTIST
Elmer Borlongan, a Fine Arts graduate from UP Diliman, is a leading figure in contemporary Philippine art. A member of Salingpusa, ABAY, and co-founder of Sanggawa, his distinct vision has earned him accolades, including CCP’s Thirteen Artists Award, an artist residency at ARCUS in Japan, and Metrobank’s ACES Award. His works have been exhibited globally and are housed in major museum collections. A self-taught printmaker, he revived the craft during the pandemic and now runs Pasilyo Press, a community print studio in Zambales, with his wife, artist Plet Bolipata.
